João Bosco Coelho Da Silva has always been fascinated by human behavior, the psychology behind our choices, and the organic intelligence of nature. His lifelong curiosity centers on how the human body interacts with the natural world—and how much wisdom we can reclaim when we pay attention to that relationship.

With more than 30 years in the software industry, João built a career not from a love of technology itself, but from a deeper fascination with how technology can be used for good. This human‑centered approach made it natural for him to learn and apply more than 25 programming languages and a wide range of business and technological methodologies. Yet the further he advanced in the digital world, the more he felt drawn back to nature’s dynamic balance.

Over time, João realized that the same principles that guide good systems design—clarity, reciprocity, simplicity, and respect for natural constraints—also guide a healthy, meaningful life. Knowledge, he believes, is always transferable. That insight became the foundation for Total Reboot, a book written with the mindset of a solutions architect and the heart of someone who has spent a lifetime observing how humans thrive.

João is also the founder of Bahia Reboot, a nature‑based wellness retreat in Bahia, Brazil, and Coastal Horizons Brazil, a regenerative community initiative dedicated to ecological stewardship and reciprocal living. Both projects embody the same principles explored in his writing: that life is made of tradeoffs, that giving and taking must remain in harmony, and that we can live well without destroying the systems that sustain us.
